Female athletes are becoming more powerful. Some are also getting attention for their charm and grace. These female athletes are so striking that they could be fashion models.

Allison Stokke

When photos of her pole vaulting went viral and made her famous, she was 17. She proved she was more than a one-trick pony. She played for the University of California’s Golden Bears track team and competed at the NCAA Division I Championships. Stokke tried to qualify for the 2012 Olympics but didn’t make it. 

She has had a successful career in professional vaulting and has modeled for Nike.

Alicia Schmidt

Alicia Schmidt is a German runner who was born in Worms, Germany. She was scheduled to compete in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics but didn’t make the cut. She has also been scouted for her looks and has experience walking in fashion shows. 

Paige Spiranac

Spiranac played college golf at San Diego State University and the University of Arizona. From 2012 to 2014, she won All-Mountain West Conference honors and led the San Diego State Aztecs to their first Mountain West Conference Championship. 

Spiranac wanted to be a professional gymnast, but an injury stopped her. She discovered golf, and the rest is history.

Jennie Finch

Jennie Finch is a former professional softball player. She led the U.S. women’s softball team to victory at the Olympics and won gold and silver medals. Finch was offered modeling jobs but refused, saying she wanted to be a role model for young women.

Olivia Dunne

She competed as a gymnast in college and posted videos on TikTok about her life as an athlete. 

In 2023, Dunne said she made over $500K from a sponsored social media post.

Margarita Mamun

She won silver in gymnastics at the 2015 European Games. She holds the under-20-point judging system record with the highest all-around total (77.150 points). She got this score at the 2016 Baku World Cup. 

She also won the all-around gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before retiring the following year.

Mikaela Shiffrin

Mikaela Shiffrin is an incredible alpine skier. She holds the record for the most World Cup wins in alpine skiing. In 2023, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people.
