You won’t want to miss the beautiful renovated $1 home – check out the photos here!

Four years ago, this $1 property was bought and renovated by a woman who made it her dream home. At 57, Meredith from Chicago fixed up an old house in Sambuca, Italy, and made it look nice. Despite the challenges, she has created a home that is warm and full of character. This is precisely what she wanted.

It all started when Meredith got an email telling her she had won the bid for this $1 home in Italy. The property was in terrible condition. There was no electricity or running water, the floors were uneven, and the roof had asbestos. The floors were covered in layers of rubble, and every room seemed more difficult than the last.

Even though the property was in bad shape, Meredith could see that it had potential. She imagined a home that would combine the charm of Italy with the comfort of modern life. She was determined to turn her crumbling house into her dream home.

The finished home has a bright and airy living room, a modern kitchen with local Sicilian stone, and a lovely library for Meredith’s love of reading. Each room has been carefully designed to combine old-fashioned charm with contemporary comfort.

The living room and outside space make the property inviting, with a patio and a Juliet balcony that lets in sunlight and shows you amazing views of the local area.

Meredith is going to spend four months of every year in her Italian holiday home, where the living room is bright and airy and the heart of the house. With its high ceilings and large windows, it’s the perfect place to relax or host friends and family.

Meredith loves spending time in the garden. The patio, with its charming details and stunning views of the surrounding hills, is a great place to relax. She even wants to open a gallery and a guest house in the village, so that her dream home will remain a popular part of Sambuca for many years.

Meredith’s retreat also has a dry heat sauna, where she can relax after a long day. This adds to the peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere of her Italian dream home.
