Pamela Anderson has been one of the most memorable Playboy models since her first appearance in the magazine.
When Hugh Hefner died, she thanked him for helping her become the woman she is.
But years later, the Baywatch star revealed that one shocking request from Hefner made her realise it was time to leave the Playboy Mansion for good.
Pamela Anderson has always been one of the most famous Playboy models, but even the Baywatch star admits there was a shocking moment when she knew she had to stop.
The Canadian-born actress and model, now 58, became famous in the late ’80s and early ’90s after appearing on lots of Playboy covers. She set a record for the most cover appearances in the magazine’s history.
She was named Playmate of the Month in February 1990 and quickly became one of the brand’s most well-known faces. Years later, Anderson revealed that the Playboy Mansion was not as glamorous as it looked. It changed her life.
In 2018, Pamela spoke to Piers Morgan about a time when she was at Hugh Hefner’s house, which made her feel uncomfortable. She said it was the last straw for her and that she had to leave.
“I followed them upstairs. I thought, ‘What could be going on up here?'” she said.
She said that seven girls were with Hef, one at a time. I was standing at the end of the bed watching them. Then I noticed they were watching me too. I thought, ‘This is not a movie. I need to leave.”
Despite that, Anderson has always been grateful for the effect Hefner had on her life and career. After he died in 2017, she said he was one of the “most important people” in her life besides her family.

“All the things people like about me come from you understanding me.” They accepted me and encouraged me to be myself. You said the magazine was about a girl like me,” she wrote in a moving tribute after his death.
“I will miss you so much. Thanks for making the world a better place. A freer and sexier place. You were a true gentleman — charming, elegant, and always ready to help. You were also great fun to be with.”
Today, Pamela Anderson has started a new chapter in her life. She’s very busy with a variety of film projects, including the new Naked Gun movie. People keep on saying how real and elegant she is.
The Playboy Mansion will always be part of Pamela’s story, but her decision to leave was one of the most critical moments in her career and life.
