Mark Consuelos finally talks about the rumors

Who would have thought that attending a daytime TV soap opera audition would result in one of Hollywood’s most enduring love stories?

Today, we are going to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of Kelly and Mark’s relationship, including how Mark was once so jealous that he broke up with her.

From the day they met in 1995 to the present day, Ripa and Consuelos are often seen as the perfect Hollywood couple.

So, in February 1995, Mark Consuelos tried out for the role of Kelly Ripa’s love interest on the TV show All My Children.

The two actors were a good match and got on well.

They started dating and eventually got together. In 1996, while filming in Jamaica, paparazzi saw them together, and the media reported that their time on the island meant they must be a couple. The couple finally appeared together on the red carpet. In April 1996, less than a year after they started dating, Kelly and Mark planned to get married. But before they could, they split up!

Kelly explained how they had split up a week before. “Right before we got married, we broke up. We broke up and got back together the day before we went off and eloped. Yeah, we eloped. We went to Vegas and got married.”

One year, one month, and one day after they married, on 2 June 1997, the couple had their first child, Michael Joseph Consuelos.

Following his famous parents’ footsteps, Michael became an actor and appeared in The Bensonhurst Spelling Bee with his mum and dad, The Goldbergs, and Let’s Get Physical (2022).

On 24 February 2003, the couple had another son. They named him Joaquin.

In 2007, the couple started their own production company called Milojo, which comprised the first two letters of their children’s names: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.

In addition to their successful production company, Kelly earns $22 million a year presenting Live with Kelly. She’s worth $120 million, while Mark is worth $40 million.

In 2022, just before Kelly turned 50, she revealed her husband’s superpower. She says he can treat her like the only person in the world.

She also said that he had the best smile she had ever seen, making her feel like the sun was shining on her.

Ripa also admitted how she and Mark make their rocky marriage work, saying that they go on date nights, give each other lots of space, and don’t give up even after a fight or an argument.
