In February 2020, she and the Mexican cinematographer bought their former home for $8.3 million. This 1907 Victorian-style house has incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is 6,245 square feet and has five bedrooms and four and a half baths on five floors.

One of the property’s most significant selling points was its location. The area is known for its good schools, lively downtown, and easy access to nature. San Francisco is also a cultural and culinary hotspot.

The actress and her husband bought their current home in early 2020. At that time, they also sold their previous home in Malibu. They sold the three-bedroom, two-bathroom house for $8 million.

In October 2023, several news outlets reported that Julia and Danny had put their San Francisco home on the market for $11.75 million. The house was sold for around $11.25 million a few weeks later.

This was because their two eldest children were leaving home for university.

“Danny wanted to move back to Malibu, where he can go surfing whenever he wants, and he has his industry friends who can give him work,” the source added. “He was going to move, no matter what Julia thought.”

Months later, another source said that Danny “missed his surfing and industry friends” before selling the SF home.

“But things don’t look so great now that they’ve settled back into the L.A. way of life,” the source added. “She’s doing her thing, he’s doing his. They are living separate lives. They even have multiple houses and often live apart.”
