Greta Thunberg is a 22-year-old climate activist who became famous worldwide after launching a global climate strike movement in 2018. Thunberg has not done what many people might do, even though she is now older. She has never had a drink, and there’s a good reason for that.

Greta Thunberg is still campaigning. She was on the boat taking aid to Gaza. But when Israel stopped the boats, the Swedish climate activist was arrested.

While the idea of being held captive for several days might scare many, Greta Thunberg is not giving up on what she believes in. She became a world-famous climate activist after she spoke at the UN, but she is not making any money from it.

In 2022, she told The Times that the only money she had came from the student grant she received for going to university.

“I will donate the money I earn to charity. I’d love to have some money, but by giving it away, like to rewilding or nature conservation projects, I can get people talking about those things. If I donate to refugees, you can talk about why – and then you can explain,” she said.

When you become an adult, there are lots of new and exciting things you can do. One of those might be to get to have your first drink, but Greta Thunberg hasn’t had that yet.

“I’m not sure if that’s because I’m that kind of person or if it’s because I don’t want to be noticed. I guess it could be both,” Greta Thunberg explained.
