The two sons of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Alina Kabaeva have been given fake names and are listed in documents as Ivan and Vladimir Spiridonov. This information comes from Roman Badanin and Mikhail Rubin, authors of the book “The Tsar Himself.”

On Tuesday, October 7, Agency News reported that the surname is likely connected to the last name of Putin’s grandfather, Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin.

The dictator’s daughters from his first marriage, Ekaterina Tikhonova and Maria Vorontsova, also live under assumed surnames. The surname Tikhonova most likely comes from the family name of Ekaterina Shkrebneva, his maternal grandmother, according to the book.

The publication also says that Ivan and Vladimir sometimes go out in public, which is how their photographs were taken. They are published for the first time in the book by journalists.

On September 4, 2024, journalists discovered that the Russian dictator has three children. He has two sons with Alina Kabaeva and one daughter with Svetlana Krivonogikh. His ex-wife Lyudmila is the mother of his daughter with Svetlana.

A family tree also confirms that Kabaeva’s cousin, Ekaterina Golovacheva, is listed on the website MyHeritage.

The SonntagsZeitung says that Putin’s first son was born in the spring of 2015 at the Sant’Anna clinic in Lugano, Switzerland. His second son was born in the spring of 2019 in Moscow.

Journalists found out that the children live alone in the presidential residences in Valdai (where they spend most of the year) or in Sochi, and hardly ever see their friends.
